Twinkling lights card - Lawn Fawn & Chibitronics colab week {+ video!}

This week, Lawn Fawn and Chibitronics are joining forces to bring lots of inspiration! Of course, I didn't want to miss this because I'm truly in love with these two companies :)

So I took the Elphie Selfie stamp set from the past release and made this card. And, because I used the Effect Stickers to make the lights twinkle, I wanted to share with you how to do this, so I make a video!

I'm using here the new Push Here stamp that are just perfect for interactive cards! I colored the background with Lawn Fawn inks, the Moon with Distress inks and the cute critters and balloon with Copic markers.

When you push the button the card lights up and the lights twinkle, it's super pretty in person! <3
This is not the most basic circuit but I've ttried to explain it in my video and I show it clearly enough so you can just reproduce it if you are not interested in circuits and all that :)

I know there are people out there that don't give a try to Chibitronics because they think they're too complicated and, if you're one of them, I want to encourage to change your mind and give them a try, you can start with a simple example to loose your fear and then you'll have a lot of fun and your recipients will be amazed with your cards with lights! (And no, Chibitronics don't pay me anything to promote them, lol, this is just what I think).

You don't whant to miss the Lawn Fawn and Chibitronics blogs, they have amazing inspiration for you and there are some giveaways going on! ;)

We've moved - House card

It's me with another project using the new products from the Summer Avery Elle release. Today I'm featuring the new Welcome Home stamp set and I made a fun house-shaped card

To be able to see the inside of the card you need to pull out the roof! hehe
To create it, I just made a pocket out of patterned paper that was the house. I heat embossed the little elements and colored them with watercolor markers, then I adhered them with foam adhesive to the house-pocket.
To make the roof, I heat embossed the roof stamp twice, colored it and adhered both parts together, adding a piece of cardstock in the middle, where I stamped my sentiment.

You can use this idea for a "Congrats/New Home" card or a Welcome Home card or you can even decorate the little house with Christmas ornaments for a Christmas card or with party ornaments for an invitation to a party... There are lots of possibilities! ;)

I hope you like my project for today, thank you so much for stopping by! Have a nice day!

Stitched Clouds Backdrops - Lawn Fawn Summer release week

Hi there!

Welcome to the last day of Lawn Fawn May inspiration week, tomorrow (May 18th) the complete new release will be available for purchase!

Today we're featuring some new background die that are simply amazing. For my card, I used Stitched Cloud Backdrops and I love how these dies add some pretty texture still being subtle :)

I used this die to create my cloudy background and I paired it with another new set Plane and Simple. I kept my card very simple, just masking the negative part of a circle on the middle and coloring that with Distress inks.

Plane and Simple includes some cute dies that match perfectly with the ones in the die so I added some of those to add some dimension. This card has not a lot of color so I chose red as my main color to really make the card pop.

For more inspiration using the new background die, please check out the Lawn Fawn blog. There are tons of amazing cards, a demo video and, of course, a giveaway! ;)

I hope you've enjoyed my projects for this Summer release week! Thank you so much for your visit and support, as always. Have an amazing rest of the week!
