Mini Pop-up Butterflies - Lawn Fawn April inspiartion week

I have another card I made for Lawn Fawn inspiration week to share with you. This time I'm featuring the Mini Pop-up Butterflies die set.
This set has two kind of dies with the same shape, one of them cuts the entire butterfly and the other just the wings. I love the idea of the second one and I inmediately knew what I wanted to create.

I started by coloring a piece of watercolor paper with some bold watercolor hues, blending them together. Then I let them dry and applied another layer to create more texture.

While the second layer dried, I die cut a piece of cardstock using an outside in stitched rectangle, then I die cut the hello die in the middle and then I started die cutting butterflies all around the hello until I covered all the piece of cardstock. To adhere easily the little pieces of the hello word, I put a piece of acetate on the back of the word (I didn't covered the holes of the butterflies with acetate, just the word).

Finally, I adhered the piece of paper on top of the watercolor paper with 3D glue dots, to give it more dimension. I'm very happy with this card, it was fun and relaxing to make and it looks stunning, it's even better in person :)

I hope you feel inspired to try this idea, Kelly has a video on the Lawn Fawn blog showing you how to make it in case you have any doubts and there's a lot of projects from the DT featuring more products from this release, so don't forget to check it out!

Thank you so much for stopping by, have a nice day!

Really Rainbow - Lawn Fawn April inspiration week

The Lawn Fawn isnpiration week continues today and I have a card to share with you using one of the new paper collections: Really Rainbow.
This collection is totally my style: colorful with simple patterns, I just love it! For my card, I paired it with the cute frogs from Toadally Awesome.

The "water" is part of the Bayou Backdrop die set colored with watercolors, for the different images, I used my Copics and to create the background, I just added a bit of Crackled Pistachio to with a blending tool.
My favorite part is the little frog peeking out of the water, hee hee!

I hope you enjoyed my project for today! Don't forget to check out the Lawn Fawn blog during all the inspiration week!

Thanks for your visit, have an amazing day!

Year Eight - Lawn Fawn April inspiration week

Hi there!

Welcome to another day full of projects with Lawn Fawn April inspiration week! Today one of the stars of the show is this new mini Year Eight, a set designed specially to celebrate Lawn Fawn's eighth birthday (yep, eight years!!)
I made a set of interactive mini cards using these cute fortune cookie stamps. You can pull out the stripe of paper to reveal the full sentiment.

This card is a very simple one if you don't have the interactive part into account. I stamped the cookies repeatedly on the background to create a "patterned paper" and then I stamped the "main cookie" and colored it with Copic markers. As a fun addition, I used the arms and legs from Sweet Friends on my cookie. The greeting is from Speech Bubbles, another set from the latest release.

I hope you like my little set of cards! Don't forget to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiring ideas, demo videos and giveaways during all the inspiration week!

Thanks for your visit, have a wonderful week :)
